James C. Petersen

Jim is responsible for the growth and profitability of the retail energy business, and manages and improves the company’s sales, new market entry, customer service, billing, reporting and other operational activities. Prior to joining AEP Energy, Jim enjoyed an extensive career with Motorola, Inc., first as an Electrical Engineer and ultimately as Senior Director of Sales, where he was responsible for all commercial and operational activities to launch mobile devices with the largest carrier in North America.

Jim holds a Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification, a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
