In 2018, the diverse group of educators, staff, students, corporate and nonprofit partners, local leaders, and other key players who come together under the umbrella of the Institute for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern (ISEN), drove unprecedented progress for our ten-year-old organization.
Through new and ongoing funding and programs, we collaborated through interdisciplinary teams—across science, policy, and business—for transformative research, learning, and engagement. We deepened and formalized timely relationships with local and global partners. Our students received training, support, and connections to enhance their learning and innovations and entrepreneurial aspirations. With particular support and collaboration from ISEN research centers, we facilitated leadership and discovery in sustainability and energy. Across the board, we strove to build, enrich, and launch meaningful relationships to expand the ISEN community.
